Oh just fitness and stuffs

I have been a runner for most of my life. Mind you not a great one, but I wasn’t horrid in my high school and college competing days. These days I run for fitness, sanity, and some times even fun and I enjoy completing half marathons. But in my old, wise years (ha!) I have discovered that my type of running alone isn’t enough to maintain fitness. And well let’s be honest running can get kinda boring. In the past I have gone through phases of lifting, cycling, Insanity, P90X, etc and I have found that I like the changes and honestly so does my body. So in an attempt to keep myself motivated and add some variety I have decided to try some of the “challenges” posted on Facebook and Pinterest.

For the month of April:

I stumbled across this Facebook about two weeks ago:

Now I don’t know why but when I saw this I thought “I could totally do that”. So I am. I immediately wrote each day’s squat regimen on the calendar and for the last 11 days I have been squatting away. The first few days were easy. I am on day 11 now and after yesterday’s 105 squats I was a tad sore this morning. It was a welcomed feeling but I am interested to see how I will be fairing come day 27. Either I will have the perkiest of butts or I won’t be able to walk…either way I will let you know.
