Over the last few weeks I have been pouring into this blog again in hopes of making it a place I can connect with other moms and women. I am so excited to build this blog into a space for sharing with others, the wonderful journey of motherhood and the silly, amazing, stressful, craziness of it all.
In light of my new followers (yay! and welcome!) I wanted to take a minute to introduce myself.

My name is Justina and I am a mom of two super rambunctious little ones and wife to a pretty stellar guy. Our littles are Asher, 4 and Ellery, 2 and they are master mess makers and pretty darn cute.

Where my story starts
The hubs and I met while in college and he stuck around through the completion of my graduate degree and shortly after we said I Do in 2012. This blog was originally a space to share all the wedding planning details. We also happened to purchase our first home in 2012, just before our wedding, and we were soon over our head in to-dos and projects. While I thoroughly enjoyed wedding planning, I was okay when it was over and we could simply focus on our new home.
Journey into motherhood
In the summer of 2013 our lives changed forever when two lines showed we were going to be parents. Being pregnant was one of the greatest periods of my life! Pregnancy was relatively easy and so I loved every new milestone of pregnancy. We welcomed Asher in 2014 after a long, not-so-easy delivery. The start of motherhood was beautifully, rocky and I grew more as a woman and person in the those first few months than I had up to that point.
And then there were two

In the spring of 2016 we welcomed our sassy little lady, Miss Ellery into our lives. Pregnancy with her was somewhat more difficult than with Asher but most of that I blame on caring for a toddler at the same time! The birth of Ellery was difficult and we nearly lost her. Read here for more about the delivery of our little miracle.
Moving on to a new adventure
As if adjusting to having two littles and recovering from major surgery wasn’t busy enough, (ha!) we decided it would be a good idea to buy a new home. So with a 4 month and two year old, we bought a new house and sold our first. We shared a bit of that crazy journey on the blog and nearly two years later we are still working on making this house our home.
What I am up to these days
Currently, I work part time as an athletic trainer in a physician’s office and work on this blog at night or when the littles nap. Prior to having miss Ellery, I worked full time but I was lucky to move to part-time after her birth.
I am a lover of all holidays, but ESPECIALLY Christmas. I enjoy crafting and creating in many forms, but my favorite medium is sewing. I love creating activities for the kiddos to complete and am a sucker for a good sensory bin. I am a believer in Jesus and find that His presence in my life helps me to feel whole. I will likely never be able to give up sweet tea and I love food more so than I probably should.

Working out has been something I have enjoyed for as long as I can remember. While some folks find quite time as their form of disconnect and meditation, for me it is any form of physical activity. I have completed many half marathons and recently my first marathon early this year. Along with running I enjoy weight lifting and have even started getting into yoga again!

Being a mom has shown me a true calling and I love being called “mama” more than anything. Although motherhood has been wonderful, it hasn’t been without its challenges. In my times of difficulty I often struggled to find other moms who seemed to be in the same place as me. Everything online and everyone I came in contact with, always seemed to have it so ‘together’. As I have continued on through this journey I have learned that motherhood is perfect in all its crazy, imperfection. And that is the message I want to share in this place.

I hope you will stick around, I am really looking forward to the future of this little space and getting to know you all!
