I have a love for all the seasons, but there is just something about the fall season and fall decor that makes me super happy.
This year was especially exciting as it is the first holiday season in our new home and I couldn’t wait to begin decorating. Now if I had it my way, I would head straight to the store and snag any and all fall decorations and sprinkle them about my home… but as a newly married couple, we are trying to stay budget-conscious.

So instead I headed out to my nearest Dollar Tree and pumpkin patch and sprinkled some DIY crafted holiday spirit about our home. Everything listed below is from the Dollar Tree, unless otherwise specified.
1. Small Pumpkins:

These lil’ guys usually sell for super cheap at pumpkin patches and make easy and cute decorations. I snagged these 3 for $1. I added a bit of flair with some paint I had in my craft supply. Now I have cute decorations for my window sill.

2. Silk Flowers:
I have a small vase that sits on our dining room table and I love changing the floral arrangement depending on the time of the year.

This fall I picked up a few floral pieces and placed them in the vase along with silk leaves sprinkled at the bottom. I added the scarecrow that I found at Joann Fabrics (also $1).

To add some Halloween flare, I placed a small witch to the side of the vase. The whole arrangement sat upon a felt maple leave.

3.Pumpkin Spice Candles:
I placed them into small vases I already had. I used some Pinterest inspiration and added popcorn kernels as a filler. Placed them next to a few more small ($1) pumpkins. Added another witch for some more Halloween flare.

4. Coffee Table Fall Decor:
I purchased 4 of these miniature skeletons and placed them around a preexisting candle arrangement along with more silk leaves. I placed the whole lot atop a felt skeleton head.

5. Chalk Boards as Part of Fall Decor:
These chalkboards were not purchased at the Dollar Tree, BUT the chalk with which I wrote was.
In truth, I made these chalkboards from old mirrors I took apart and painted with chalkboard paint. The first one I found 60% off at Hobby Lobby in the home decor section. It now hangs in our entryway.

The second I found at Goodwill and I repainted the frame and the mirror and have used it not only in my home but also at our wedding.

6. Front Door Decor:

Another easy piece of fall decor is a themed wreath. This wreath was made entirely from Dollar Tree purchases and hot glue. Even the wreath itself was only $1.
