I love, L.O.V.E Christmas! It is my favorite time of the year! I have been so excited to bring all of the decorations out of the attic and start transforming our home into a winter wonderland.

If it were me I would have decorations up long before Thanksgiving but the hubs insists we adequately celebrate Thanksgiving first. But don’t worry the tree went up the day after Thanksgiving!

Sharing Christmas Traditions with Kids
This time of the year is filled with traditions and putting up the tree and decorating is one of my favorite! It is amazing how such a small tradition can make for the greatest memories.

Over the years, the Hubs and I have collected a variety of ornaments that are meaningful in one way or another. Asher is at an age now where he likes to ask about the ornaments and what they mean. It is fun sharing the stories with him.

We attempted to put up the motorized train the hubs and I bought for our first Christmas together but in true toddler form…a meltdown began. The kiddos couldn’t handle the fact that they couldn’t play with the train.
Makes sense! I would want to play with it too so for the next several years that train will be put away. BUT our wooden trains were a perfect substitution!
Both kids loved setting up their own train track and playing with trains.

The Magic of a Christmas Tree
Both kids were captivated by the bright lights on the Christmas tree when the room was dark. I just love seeing the magic and wonder of Christmas through their eyes!
The kids love to ask about the story behind each ornament and are simply mesmerized by the whole process.
