Between little man laying sideways and my doctor expressing concern with my weight gain (he believes I haven’t gained enough even though I beg to differ) this week we were scheduled for an ultrasound to see how little man is doing.
Despite the doctor’s concern, I have been convinced that little man is ahead of schedule. Perhaps it has been all the kicks to the ribs and pelvis at the same time or maybe it was just mother’s intuition, but I was convinced that I was growing a giant.
So on Monday the Hubs and I went in for our ultrasound and after taking some measurements and letting us see the little man do cute things in 3D, the ultrasound tech told us that our little man is measuring TWO weeks ahead! That’s right, this mama isn’t gaining a ton of weight because little man is taking every calorie for himself. We were both overjoyed to know that even though he might be born 9+ pounds, at least he is healthy!

How far along?: 30 Weeks Pregnant
Total weight gain: Still not talking with the scale.
Maternity clothes: Yes!
Stretch marks: Thankfully none! Hoping this can last another 10 weeks
Sleep: Still flipping from side to side but I am making it through each day without a nap so either I am adapting to limited/crappy sleep or else I am getting enough.
Best moment(s) this last week: Getting to see our little one on the screen again. Also, little man has successfully flipped head down!
Worst moment this last week: Dealing with this awful winter. I am over the cold and the snow.
Miss anything?: Warm weather.
Movement: He is a very active little man.
Food Cravings: Cereal
Anything making you queasy or sick?: Nothing new.
Gender: Boy!
Labor signs: Nothing yet.
Symptoms: Big ol’ belly. Little man has started this new game called “kick mama in the ribs all day!”
Belly button in or out?: Out, out, out
Wedding rings on or off?: On
Happy or moody most of the time: Happy
Looking forward to: Getting closer and closer to seeing the little mister.
Exercising still?: Down to about 3 days per week but still making it every week.
It is so crazy to see how far things have come in these last 30 weeks! I am certainly feeling like a whale these days but this picture still blows my mind. It’s amazing what the body can do!
