2019. New Year, New Focus

Hello friends! Happy Post-Christmas Season! Hopefully, you are all recovering nicely from the holiday fun of last week! We had a busy, but great Christmas week with the finale of a simple day at home on Christmas day.

Since reviving Knot to Nest in the summer of 2018, I have been working to find my voice, my passions, and my place. I find myself sitting over here on the cusp of the new year, looking to make changes and find and finally chase my true passions.

In my five years of motherhood, I have found myself drawn more and more to a life of simplicity and organization. It is in these ideals that I have found a new sort of peace. Peace as a woman, mother, and wife.

For us, life is better enjoyed when we are slowing down rather than running. Our home feels more peaceful when it isn’t full of clutter. As a family, we operate better when life is less chaotic.

As a mom, I feel the most grounded when I de-clutter my physical and mental spaces and become more intentional with my time. I have felt my fullest when I am taking care of myself as well as my people.

It is these discoveries and new passions, I have decided to do a bit of re-branding here at Knot to Nest.

In this space I will continue to share my journey as a mom, things that work and don’t and a bit on our own little life. But the focus of Knot to Nest will become about organizing life and simplifying motherhood.

You can look forward to seeing organizational tips for the home and life of a busy mom. I invite you to come with me on a journey to simplifying life and motherhood. Together let’s get away from killing ourselves to make everything complicated and picture-perfect and instead work towards a more simple and organized life.
